Besides leveraging Gulf Oil International’s global motorsports associations in India, GOLIL built the Gulf brand in India around the cricketing platform – appointing the modern cricketing legend, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, as Brand Ambassador and sponsoring teams in the Indian Premier League.

Doing so, Gulf has sealed its spot in the hearts of millions and made strong inroads across markets.Continuing its legacy of enthralling cricket fans, in 2017 Gulf Oil put RPSG fans in the limelight with the Gulf Go Far Har Bar campaign.
Two legendary brands in their respective fields, Gulf Oil and Manchester United, have partnered together to strengthen and broaden their global brand presence. This association enables Gulf to engage with Man U’s fan base all over the world, including millions in India, which is a major focus area. In 2016, Gulf Oil launched a special edition Manchester United pack for its synthetic lubricant range brand Formula GX which received positive response.
Gulf is no stranger to ‘Endurance’, being one of its core values. Gulf celebrated its 50th anniversary of participation in the 24 hour of Le Mans, considered the world’s toughest race. With its famous blue and orange livery, the brand shares a special relationship with the World Endurance Championship and its massive fan following. After half a century of several memorable battles with leading brands such as Aston Martin, Ford, Porsche, Chevrolet, etc., Gulf has tasted victory at Le Mans many a times. In 2016, Gulf’s colors were flown at Le Mans by the British squad, Gulf Racing, who reunited Gulf with Porsche.
World Superbike Racing:
Speaking of the race tracks, Gulf has also doubled its high-level technical cooperation in World Superbikes this year by partnering with professional teams, BMW Althea and Aprilia Milwaukee, in the World Superbike Championship. We are proud to power the both the teams with our oil called Gulf Powertrac, specially developed through deep R&D to achieve maximum performance efficiency.
Gulf also partners with Europe’s foremost Motorcycle Drag Racing team, King Racing, to break records with the most powerful motorbikes in the world.
